Why UAE?
Where agentic commerce is already happening
The UAE isn’t waiting for the future of commerce. It is building it. Few places in the world bring together national AI ambition, modern payment rails, forward-looking regulation and digitally native consumers the way the UAE does. That makes it the natural home for a conversation about AI agents that shop, decide and pay.
Join us in Dubai on 25 March 2027, where the next era of commerce is already underway.
Register nowA national commitment to AI
In 2017 the UAE became the first country to appoint a Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence and launched a national AI strategy. The goal is to make the UAE a global leader in AI by 2031. Government, regulators and industry share that vision and are acting on it.
Payment infrastructure built for real time
Through Al Etihad Payments, a subsidiary of the Central Bank of the UAE, the country has launched Aani, its instant payments platform, and Jaywan, its domestic card scheme. These national rails are the foundation that agentic payments need: fast, secure and interoperable.
Agentic payments are already live here
The UAE is one of the first markets where AI agents have completed real purchases. In November 2025, Mastercard made its first Agent Pay transaction outside the US in Dubai, with Majid Al Futtaim. In 2026, Visa launched its Agentic Ready programme in the UAE with leading banks and fintechs. The building blocks of agentic commerce are being tested here first.
Regulation that enables innovation
With the Central Bank, DIFC, ADGM and their innovation sandboxes, the UAE gives banks, fintechs and retailers room to experiment responsibly. That is the balance of trust and progress that agentic AI demands.
The gateway to the GCC and beyond
Dubai connects the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. It is home to regional headquarters for global banks, payment networks, retailers and technology leaders. The decisions made in this room will shape commerce across the region.
